Adapun faktor yang dapat menyebabkan diabetes meliputi antara lain genetik, usia, gaya hidup, pola makan yang tidak tepat, kurangnya aktifitas.. Komplikasi yang ditimbulkan diantaranya ketoasidosis diabetikum, amputasi, hipertensi, gagal ginjal kronik, dan berujung pada kematian. Metode Penelitian : penelitian ini menggunakan metode Deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil : hasil pengkajian didapatkan pasien sering merasa haus, sering buang air kecil, sering merasa keram pada kedua tangan, suka mengkonsumsi makanan yang manis-manis, Ny. S mengatakan menderita diabetes sejak 2 tahun yang lalu, kesadaran composmentis, GCS : 15 E:4, V:5, M:6, GDS : 200 mg/dL, TD :120/80 mmHg, RR: 22 x/m, N :92 x/m, S : 36,5 ?.Diagnosa yang ditemukan yaitu Defisit pengetahuan berhubungan dengan Keluarga tidak mampu mengenal masalah kesehatan. Kesimpulan : Penerapan asuhan keperawatan keluarga komprehensif pada keluarga Tn. D dengan anggota keluarga yang menderita Diabetes Melletus dapat mengatasi masalah yang di alami keluarga Tn. D. Saran : Diharapkan bagi keluarga Tn. D untuk dapat menerapkan pola hidup sehat sesuai dengan apa yang telah diajarkan oleh peneliti.
